Ali has more than 10 years of experience spanning areas of strategic technology management, project management, business development and brand building for the US, UK, South Asia and Middle East regions.
At Ephlux, he is responsible for developing, driving and leading the strategic alliances, business development teams and providing a liaison among the project management, marketing and the sales partner network.
Prior to founding Ephlux, he was heading Business Development for Application Services at AMZ Access, a public company with its presence in the US, UK, Egypt and Pakistan, a venture which was funded by AMZ Ventures Ltd. a company listed in KSE. Â He was responsible for establishing the customized application service division from grounds up which within a short span of 6 months became one of the highest revenue generating divisions.
During the same period, he conceived and led a Telecom product development and marketing initiative and integrated the platform with the country’s leading Telecoms and Media channels based on revenue-sharing arrangements.
In 2003 he joined a UK based consulting company as a Project Manager and later worked as Manager, App. Services. He was responsible for key customer accounts in the Middle East pertaining to Travel, Accommodation, Real Estate, Automobile and Insurance industries. During this period, was based in Saudi Arabia to liaise between the management and technical teams between Karachi and Jeddah. He managed the accounts for companies like NISSAN Saudi Arabia, Labbaik Hajj and Umrah service providers, FUCHS Petroleum, Al-Hamrani Group and occasionally consulted for Saudi Airlines and Bank Saudi Franci.
He started his career in 1999 and worked in different software development and management roles at various software consulting companies serving the customers primarily in the US and UK markets.
He holds a Computer Systems Engineering degree from NED University, and MBA degree from IBA with majors in Marketing and MIS.
