Business owners are asking this question frequently if they need a mobile app for their business or their website is good enough. We shared the benefits of having a mobile website for your business in our blogs earlier, today we are going to talk aboutwhy mobile apps are not for everyone.

It’s a proud moment for us and the developer community that today App Store is filled with over 775,000 applications for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Last year App Store has passed 40 billion downloads in which 20 billion downloads were recorded during 2012 with nearly two billion downloads happened in December alone. The press release today says that there are over 500 million active accounts on App Store worldwide that shows the growing Apple’s user base and its popularity.

Google launched its most awaited native map APP for iOS at the time when users were heading to the wrong cities & falling off warped bridges. This malfunctioning of the iOS Maps, genuinely increased the demand for Google Maps and the App topped the iTunes chart when 10 millions apps were downloaded within 48 hrs after its launch.

In 2003, Android Inc. was founded in California, US. However it was acquired by Google in 2005 and is now on its way to become one of the leading mobile OS in the market. The company has improved the OS with time and has launched many versions since it’s birth. The interesting story about these versions is that they are all released in an alphabetical order and all of them are named after favored sweets and deserts.
